ISP Overview
Iowa State Penitentiary has closed its doors on 175 years of history at the original location and have begun a new chapter at the new location. The difference in operations is a poignant illustration of the evolution of corrections and progression of supervision styles.
ISP continues to embrace the mission of the Department of Corrections to
"Creating Opportunities for Safer Communities."
